Hebrews 1:4-14

You would be very hard pressed to find a chapter that establishes the deity of Jesus Christ as clearly and forcefully as does Hebrews Chapter 1.  Not only will we as believers continue to establish the supremacy of Christ in our hearts, but a working knowledge of Hebrews Chapter 1 prepares us to make a defense for the hope that is in us.  Now there are groups that will knock on your door and try to sell you a Jesus that they believe is an angel.  Don’t you believe it!  With an apologetic fervor, the writer of Hebrews compels us to read the Old Testament through the lens of Jesus Christ, where the Father twice acknowledges the Son as God and Lord!  Citing seven Old Testament Scriptures, the writer establishes the sharp superiority of Jesus Christ over angels, and in the process washes our hearts with marvel and wonder and awe over the infinite worth and brilliance of Jesus.  Get you Word on with us in another face-melter in Hebrews!
